We finally rolled out of the driveway!! On the day we planned. And just about on time, too! We are officially making this thing we have been planning for so long a reality. :) After wrapping up our jobs, we probably needed a few days to decompress. But instead, in true Ben and Amber fashion, we poured ourselves into days of trip prep and evenings of spending time with friends and family. Getting ready for this trip has been a whole entire process. We had more than 100 things to do on our to-do list, from tiny tasks we didn't want to forget, to huge ones like packing, which for better or worse, we left until the very last day before we were set to leave.

Packing day! Getting the truck and trailer ready in our driveway.
This was early in the packing process! We kept at it until after dark.

Packing has never been quite this complicated! We are not going to be home for six months. We have limited space. We will be doing all kinds of things in all kinds of weather with two dogs. I could go on, but you get the idea. But we got it all done. Maybe not perfectly, and a little down to the wire, but done!

Now, on night two, it's starting to feel real. We have already been in 4 states (Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada)! It is cold but sunny and beautiful. And time is starting to stretch out before us in the best possible way. Here are a few photos of our first days away as we head south to follow the sun and find warmer temperatures.

A Man Bun??!!!??? Awwwww

I'm still rocking my Boot Camp do and its really easy to take care of! About every 2 weeks Cheryl scalps me and shampooing takes no time at all now - neither does drying my hair. LOL
